I have searched the forums and so far haven't found anything to answer this - does anyone know if it possible to get camera data into a new Discovery Sport? Unfortunately I have failed to find the make and model of the unit but the maps are stored on an SD card which is directly linked to the vehicle's VIN.
Thanks for any light anyone can shed on this.

Have you found and tried the instructions in the last few posts in THIS thread? They recon it probably works with Discoveries later than 2013. |

Thanks for the reply. I did find that thread but as my son has a late model Freelander 2 I know that the systems are worlds apart. The new Discovery Sport has all the GPS data stored on an SD card whereas the Freelander 2 has data input via usb. I realise that the input method may not have any bearing on the data type etc but before I started venturing into uncharted waters I thought I'd see if anyone had been there already.
Land Rover's response was, "we don't put camera data in our systems as it's illegal in some countries where we sell our vehicles." That's as daft as saying they don't put the steering on the right because they drive on the right in some countries where they sell Land Rovers - or am I missing something?! |

No, your'e not missing something, but they could just omit the cameras from the countries in which they are illegal, just like PGPSW do unless uou specifically ak for them. |
