I have a 2699. Will be in France later and need to simulate a route from A to B (within France). Can I do that sitting in UK please in a simulation mode?

Haven't done it for ages but you can set a start and end point in simulation. If you haven't got an answer by tomorrow I'll get mine and have a play.

You can plan it with BaseCamp.

It's not the most intuitive application but it's pretty powerful.

Use Google Maps, it is easy to select different routes, get detail route instructions, view it on a larger screen.

Then when you have decided the route put in the key points on the Satnav, this way you can go off route when you want and then choose which point you want to get back on your main route.

Remember a plan is only something that tells you where and what you want to do until something better turned up.

Thanks for this. But since I cannot put place A and place B in france, I do not want to simulate from UK.

As I said you can simulate a route anywhere, you don't need to be in the Country. I run simulated routes in the US when I'm in UK.

I am confused. Why not?
Firstly Disable GPS as per above. Then -

Switch on - Apps - Trip Planner - New Trip - Select Start (and enter start location) - + (and enter waypoints and finish location) - Next - Save (and give it a name) - Done - Go - Ok - Start (and watch the demo from the Uk of your route in France).

EDIT - sussamb beat me to it.

Unfortunately not ... Any reason why you're running a simulation? I ask because there are other ways to preview a route that may achieve what you want.
