I can't for the life find it but someone mentioned in one of the recent(ish) past threads here that they had a navigation app/program on their android/ios phone that didn't send them on to narrow single track roads as my Garmin does. Can anyone remember its name please? |

I think that's for Windows phones. Try "Here" for Android and IOS.

I've complained, sorry made a suggestion, to Garmin about that. They really should be able to identify single track minor roads. They seem to think they're high speed roads because of the de-restricted speed signs.
I've suggested that that they have, say, an "Easy" or "Caravan" option, which sticks to main roads, even if the route is longer in terms of distance. Often it take less time to the destination because of better traffic flow and higher speeds despite what the speed limit signs say. |

Microsoft used to have a program called AutoRoute(I think). That had a set options that allowed you to set maximum speeds for different types of road, including single track ones. So you could effectively filter them out. I can't see why something like that couldn't be achieved. |

Copilot has a similar system for road speed weighting the truck version might suit better if your pulling a caravan. And you'll be able to set a profile for when the caravan is on and switch to car mode when your solo[/url] _________________ currently using aponia truck navigation on windows phone. Good bye IOS don't let the door hit you on the way out .
Oh the joys of being a courier.
