If I've managed to convert those coordinates correctly, (and there's no guarantee that I have!! ,) then the locations are near Burscough:
1) 53.59025,-2.855767 - (outside the Red Lion pub?) - GATSO:166657@30, Heading:53 is shown on our map at this location.
2) 53.587233,-2.862367 - (outside Booth's supermarket?) - there is no camera shown on our map, but if you zoom back through StreetView History, you can see that there WAS a Gatso at this location, so I presume it was on our database, but has been removed correctly.
I've checked both locations on my 14.022 CamerAlert (Android) download and they're correct.
I'm slighty confused - both your previous post were seeking advice on installing the DB on a Zumo 590LM, have you ditched this and started to use the phone app? _________________ Jock

So it would appear that 590 has NOT got the 'latest database'. At least, not the PGPSW one. |

This is second reported issue with the latest phone CamerAlert. My guess is that the actual database is OK. _________________ DashCam:

Would be good if the OP had mentioned the device on which the database is installed.
Are you suggesting finger trouble kremmen, or something else? |

Not at all, remember the recent long thread re missing cameras that were there one day then missing the next. That was on a phone using the latest CamerAlert, but his Garmin was OK. _________________ DashCam:

Ahem, cough cough... We DO have a co-ordinate converter you know: http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/coordinate-converter.php
submission page - underneath the search bar wrote: | NOTE: You MUST use Decimal Degrees format (e.g. 52.12345,-2.54321). Other formats will need to be converted using this conversion tool. |
But yes, your calculations are correct

Active in the database since August 2007

GATSO:14822 - removed September 2015 dues to new roundabout.
FOR ALL THOSE INVOLVED IN THIS DISCUSSION
The OP (590) last downloaded the 27th Jan database and it was for a Garmin. They don't use CamerAlert phone app on this account.
So, with the format clarified - let's work on getting him sorted!
Couple of thoughts spring to mind:
1) An older database still installed - POI LOader changed ages ago and uses the folder name for teh POI files on the device by default. If he has not removed older .gpi files then this could be the cause
2) Garmin/Cyclops data is out of date and it's being confused as being our data

Thanks
I was not aware this was a Garmin problem.
Can you check what is on the Garmin unit. Ideally you should just have the one camera GPI file as per the picture below.
Note the creation date and report back.
PS: Take no notice of the file size because they will all be different depending on the camera sets used.

MaFt | Sadly, it seems I'm not intelligent enough to use that converter correctly
Anyone spot what I'm doing wrong?

Yes, if you don't have D M S (Degrees Minutes Seconds) eg 52o 23' 15" and instead have Degrees and Decimal Minutes (52o 23.25) then you need to put the decimal minutes in the minutes field as it is 0.25 of a minute as opposed to 25 seconds.
The format given in the OP was degrees with decimal minutes.

Yes integer minutes with decimal fraction i.e. 30.5 mins = 30 mins 3o secs. Simples. |
