I am struggling to get audible warnings using the app on my IPhone 4s/ IOS 9.2 in my VW which has discover Nav Pro.
The audio route is set to Default, volume at max and music control to fade.
I cannot get audible warnings unless the media output in the car is set to Bluetooth BT Audio and music is playing. If I pause the track or switch to any other output e.g radio, SD card I get no sound. I have no problem receiving voice calls through bluetooth on the Nav Pro regardless of what I am listening to (if anything)
Is there a way to get audible warnings without having to have to leave the output on Bluetooth with something playing?
Any advice would be really appreciated. Thanks |

If you've got your audio from the phone going through Bluetooth then you need to have Bluetooth selected on your stereo. Same as if you have a CD in your stereo you need to have your stereo set to CD to be able to hear it.
The other option, if you don't use the phone for music etc, is to change the output in CamerAlert to use the internal speaker - chances are it will be too quiet though if you have music or radio on.

I use this app with my 2013 VW Golf Mk7 GT, I had similar problems to you. I have the smaller screen Discover system rather than the Discover Pro but I doubt it makes any difference.
I have it working very well now, the media output is set to BT Audio (to play music from my phone) and the audio route in the app is set to the first option with the musical note symbol. I have the app Music Control set to fade.
In this configuration my music plays through the car speakers and fades when the app gives an alert. I can pause tracks without a problem, I haven't tested switching audio sources because I only really play music from the phone.
I hope this helps. |
