Hi there,
I have the latest database, default settings (audio route = default, music control = none)
We passed an average speed camera (which then kindly showed the speed and my average) & also a gatso....
....but neither gave me any audio warnings. Both had the red warnings shown in the map as I would expect.
Haven't had time to test it in the background (although am going on a looong journey Friday, which is why we paid the subscription!)
iPhone 6 on iOS 8.4.1.
All cameras ticked to warn about.
When I tap the "alert" (or ding/dong etc), the noise is particularly quiet - is that the issue?!
Am i missing something?
If I select the bluetooth, *because* it is connected to my Volvo, will it come through the main car ?
(clearly I can test that last one, but any hints gratefully received: right now it would seem the only real warning is the visual one which would be pretty rubbish!!).
thanks! |

well, was able this evening (as a passenger) to confirm that the warnings do bing/beep....but ludicrously quietly!
Will try in my car on "bluetooth connected" to see if they come through the main speakers, but otherwise it is ridiculously quiet! |

I'm using iPhone 6S Plus and warnings are great :-
Phone Settings connected to bluetooth system in vehicle
Little music icon at the bottom of CamerAlert front set to maximum.
CamerAlert settings
Relative warning volume Full.
Audio route to bluetooth
Music control None (because I don't do music so I don't know what that is).
Pre-warning DingDong (I stopped using siren for passenger comfort).
Warning Sound Female voice
Shortened warnings not ticked
My warnings volume frightens the daylights out of anybody in the passenger seat! _________________ Dennis

Excellent: many thanks for this, I will check mine later and try to match it....quite happy to scare the passengers in order to get warnings :D
I do use music - usually from the HDD in the Volvo, sometimes radio etc....so may need to fiddle with those to check.
Cheers! |

Worked a treat, thanks
The music fade doesn't work, but I assume that is only if you play the music on the phone too.
Safely negotiated 5 or 6 dodgy cameras ;) |
