Can anyone help? I have an HTC One M9 mobile with PGPSW loaded and has been working OK up to the latest update. The updated program starts up OK but after a short time the roads become very large and pixelated to the point of being unviewable/usable. I've reinstalled it too no avail. Is there a way of reinstalling the previous version which works OK?

I think this is a bug with the new Map code. A quick 2-finger swipe up then down (to adjust the viewing angle) usually resolves it.

Tried your suggestion works for a very short period then back to an unreadable map, also it's not practical when driving. Is there a fix for this bug or can I revert to previous version?

I'm not sure where the bug is to be honest. I'll query it with our programmer.

Thanks MaFt, I was almost giving up. Tried it on my old HTC One M7 - Cameras visable but no map. Audio also OK.

On the HTC One M9 the following happens:

Stationary - Map OK, but very small Blue Arrow and seperate small ring.
Once moving - As above for a short priod then the roads gragually get wider and pixcelated to the point of filling the whole screen and making it totally unreadable. Also the when the cameras are showing there are no direction arrows showing on them. Audio OK.

Had no problems with the CamerAlert app untill update on both phones.

Hope this info is of help.

I don't think it can be a phone issue as I have exactly the same issue with my Nexus tablet. Unfortunately for me it occurred immediately after the latest Android and CA releases so I don't know which is the problem. In fact Google map released their new version with offline mapping around the same time. So at the moment I have turned mapping off which is problematic but at least I still get an audio warning.

My SGS5 has been doing the 'map ballooning' thing for ages (I'm talking a couple of years or so), as was my SGS3 before then. I have had several updates of Android along the way and none have either fixed it or made it worse.
Moral of the story and a quick fix. Don't us CA maps. They use your data as well (but not a lot)

Yesterday I uninstalled CA from my android tablet and completely reinstalled a "clean" version to see if that might resolve the issue. However, no luck. For the first few miles it was ok with the map displaying as I approached a camera site, but then progressively the map stared to grow to such an extent that the roadway actually filled the whole screen, though strangely the camera icons were displayed perfectly.

I've tried just about every option I can think of including removing any downloaded areas within Google Maps in case that was having any effect, but still no joy. My android tablet does not have a sim card so of course I have no way of changing the mapping system when out side of a Wi-Fi signal.

What has really confused me is that until recently, i.e. after recent updates to android, CA and google maps the damned thing worked perfectly. I of course have a new TT so I can't load CA POIs on that that, nor can I load them into my car sat nav, so at the moment I can only receive audible warnings of the alerts.

Not being an IT expert I don't know how CA loads maps into it's system but at the moment my lovely CA system is all but useless.

Is there anyone out there who has had the same problem and found a solution or work round.

Just a thought - what happens if you remove the tick from 'Zoom automatically'?

Don't know but I'll try anything at this stage. I'll report the outcome.

Tried that and still the same issue.

Yesterday I noticed that the more frequent the number of camera sites the worse the problem was. I travelled down the A1M at an indicated 74 mph and after the first couple of miles and camera sites the map just ballooned to such a size that the orange line for the carriageway was full screen. However, when I travelled off the A1M towards Harrogate at speeds <60mph and with fewer camera sites then the map returned to it's normal size. It did the same travelling through York later the same day. I have turned auto zoom on and off and also auto rotate, all to no avail.

My next experiment is to select an alternative map type, but as my android tablet is non sim I suspect that I will have the same problem.

What I have noticed is that even sat in my house with a very fast Wi-Fi signal if I pan the mapping in CA it still "balloons", but no other mapping on my device does; its just CA.

If only I could find a way of displaying the cameras on my TT5100, even if it was just an icon, then the combination of tablet and TT would provide what I want i.e. audio notification and visual location on a map. Is that too much to ask in 2016?
