25 Per Cent Reduction In Deaths In 6 Months

Following the installation of advanced two-way speed cameras, Dubai Police have reported almost 21,000 have been ticketed within the first month. It is also said that as part of the same initiative, fatalities have been substantially reduced during a six month period.

Speaking to Dubai-based Emarat Al Youm daily, Dubai's police commander said the cameras were part of an ongoing overall plan that included the increased deployment of police officers in targeted areas.

He claims that the initiative has contributed to the reduction of road deaths by almost 25 per cent in the first six months of 2015. No specific figures or correlations were reported to back this claim or give perspective.

He added "There will be a meeting of police officers every three months. We are determined to find solutions to bring order to roads and will not tolerate anyone who tries to endanger the safety of others or turn Dubai’s roads into a race arena." Dubai is known for its super-car race culture.

Yes I'm sure they do 'claim' that; reality is, just like in this country (UK) and most others, the establishments are all corrupt and untrustworthy.

Statistics are used to substantiate their justification for using cameras, but the statistics are manipulated to suit their claims.

They're all going to hell and i'll be there to torment them even more :-|
