Garmin Express update fails

When I start Garmin Express I see a message that says "Express must close to apply a required update" When I click on "Close" the update fails with the message "Failed Try Again?"
When I try again the same thing happens.
I am thus unable to use Garmin Express.
Can anyone please offer an explanation as to what is happening?

You don't say which version or OS but Garmin Express v3.2.27.0 was released a couple of days ago -

This version includes the following change:
• Fix an installer issue that resulted in all Express installation attempts failing.

I have just tried again and have successfully updated to the version 3.2.27.00.
The problem may have been at Garmins end - perhaps the server was down or overloaded.

No, it was an issue with 3.2.26, hence the update to 3.2.27

I keep forgetting to check. Must do it today in conjunction with the latest cameras as the M4 specs area near Reading has moved again.
