If I update traffic info and then try to exit TT Navigator, the TT GPS does not close, I have to soft reset to continue using the 2210. (i.e. the sattelite icon remains next to the bluetooth icon and I keep getting nagged by the bluetooth manager).
However, if I do not perform any Traffic updates then the GPS closes without any problems.
Has anyone else experienced this and/or found a way to solve it. |

Hi,
Yeah I've got the same problem, there is an easier way to get round it other than a soft reset, open the GPS applet then click on the GPS tab. The connection box should be ticked - if you un-tick it then BT manager should stop connecting.
Hope this helps

Typical TomTom...
On the one hand they giveth and on the other they take away!
Nice to know that GPS 3.03 doesn't hold open the BT port in exclusive mode but annoying that it doesn't close gracefully when exiting TT3...
Regards,

I have seen this problem, and started a topic on it here: http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=9334. I thought I had found a solution in deleting the global settings, but it's back
We should make sure that we all report this to TomTom so they can (hopefully) fix it.

I have found a workaround for this problem which seems to work at the moment.
Make a connection to gprs/mobile phone, by clicking the connection icon at the top of the today screen and selecting your connection, before starting TomTom.
The problem seems to only occur when TomTom connects to the modem that is not currently connected and has to perform the modem dial-up.
Traffic can happily update and TomTom will close gracefully.
Please let me know if this works for you. |
