we host the version of sox that is known to work correctly: http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/downloads/sox.zip
sox.exe needs to go in the same folder as poiloader - usually c:\program files\garmin\poiloader (or similar)

Is sox.exe run on the computer or on the Kenwood device?
If it's on the computer, .exe files won't run under MacOSX. _________________ TTGO 700 (dead)

Hi All,
Not sure if this topic is still being looked at,but here goes.
I have a similar problem with a Kenwood DNX4210BT fitted in my car.
I have POI Loader installed and successfully downloaded the Speed camera database, and installed it to the Kenwood.
I have downloaded various Voice Packs in WAV and mp3,but cannot get any Spoken warnings, just Bongs, the cameras are being seen.
I placed the sox file in the POI Loader folder, but no joy.
It renamed itself sox not sox.exe is that OK ??
Please help,as my hair has gone !!
Thanks

Re hidden extensions. In W7, open explorer (Not Internet explorer), click 'Organise', Chose 'Folder and search options', Click the 'View' tab, uncheck 'Hide extensions for known file types'. Extensions will then show for all files. (Other versions of Windows is similar).
Have you put the (linked to above) sox.exe into the same folder as poiloader.exe? |

Thanks for your reply.
I did as suggested, and the .exe appeared after sox
The sox.exe is in the same folder as POI Loader.exe (Which is shown as an application - 12308kb)
Perhaps this particular kenwood will not talk to me !!
