Tomtom 600

I'm looking at buying a tomtom 600 for the misses .
currys are doing the uk mapping units for £129.99 , does anyone know if these suffer with the same traffic server issues as the older go units .
I can't make my mind up on buying this or going for the new garmin with digital traffic .

I didn't know if the latest units used a different server . Suppose I was to hopeful .

The OP mentions a 'Go 600' UK version, ideally that's what I am looking (simply no need for Eu coverage) but I can't find a UK only version listed anywhere. Does anyone know if UK only still exists?

Also, I was trying a 6000 on display in Halfords, I found the POI search a bit slow could this be a function having more POI's to search through on an Eu version? In fact I thought the device was just generally slow to react to inputs.

When using any PND I prefer to us 2D view, on the demo model I could not find a way of using 2D view when following a route, anyone know if this possible?

My misses finished up buying a Go500 eu/uk with voice control for just under £100 , she didn't like the size of the 600 I, also check it has the mic as the older models don't have voice control , as for 2D you need to select menu ,scroll to settings icon (it looks like a cog )select that then select appearance scroll down to the 3D/2D option .
