Hi

Should be getting my kit tomorrow, so I've been trying to download bits and bobs to get ready. Can anyone give me a basic guide of what I need to do? I'll be using an IPAQ 4150 with Tomtom 3

Do I need to instantly update the IPAQ to the latest rom (dated 18th June), and install tomtom 3.03/GPS3.03?

After that, what about utils? I'm thinking just the postcode one and a POI warner of some sort for speed cams/shell stations. What the recommended one at the moment? Don't mind paying if its not too expensive and its good software.

cheers!

If you're getting a brand new iPAQ then you might as well patch it up to all the latest updates before loading any other programmes.

What GPS are you getting?

I did use CheckPOInt with the original Tontom Navigator and people rave like mad about Niels's postcode lookup programme but I've never used it myself so will stop short of recommending it.

just the basic tom tom wired GPS. Ummed and ahhed for ages about portability, but I can just buy another one for the 2nd car if it gets used a lot.
