I'm in the market for a new PND.
Which is the best Traffic service, the Garmin Digital Traffic service or the TT HD Traffic (which i currnetly use and am delighted with)?
Thanks |

it's the digital traffic - i've had no issues with it and it has reported stuff better than TT's hd traffic - also TT's traffic had a tendency for failing on a regular basis |

I've never tried TT traffic but can say Garmins digital traffic so far (I've been using it for over 6 months) has been 100% reliable. |

I had constant issues with the TomTom Live/HD Traffic failing and on a regular basis and if you look over at their forums, users are expressing concerns over the traffic service. |

In my comparisons, the Garmin service is MUCH more reliable than TomTom. But when TomTom does work it seems to get the traffic position and delay times more precisely than the Garmin. Pick your poison! |

It's strange that people comment on the TT reliability, I'm the OP and use HD traffic on my TT iPhone app and it works flawlessly and connects all the time.
I'm a 30k a year driver so it does get frequently used. I just want to know if Garmin is as good and what the reception is like using the power cord. Also, does it work in Europe using the power cord? |

Reception on my 2508 is fine and I've used it in Portugal and France, no issues. |
