|
|
Hi,
Im really calling on anyone who has a mitac mio 168. Im seriously thinking of buying one of these but as i drive a truck for a living i have seen various other pda's that say " beware of some pda's that whisper instructions to you" I dont want a quiet PDA.
Is the mitac mio loud or quiet?
The reason im thinkin of going with the mio is that it has the built-in gps reciever, therefore not much clutter of wires everywhere...That really appeals to me personally.
If not, any reccomendations of loud pda's would be great.
Thanks |

The Mio168 falls in between! It's not as loud as some but louder than the 2210 and 4150 HP's. Most of the newer PDA's suffer from poor volume but the Mio168 is better than most in this respect but I doubt it would be loud enough for a truck cab. _________________ Darren Griffin |

My (discontinued) iPAQ 3970 is pretty good, I'd say. My iPAQ 5555 is very poor in comparison. _________________ Tim |

As Tim has said, the earlier 36, 38 & 39xx iPAQ's had decent volume output. The 54 and 55xx were poor and most newer models are moderate to poor I'm afraid as they weren't really designed with this in mind. The Mio168 is better than most but in a noisy truck cab it'll stuggle without an amp. _________________ Darren Griffin |
