Can you backup Nissan Connect sat nav? Can you just take out the SD card and copy the card onto your computer? I want a backup in case. Also can you use the sat Nav SD from one Nissan to another? Talking using an newer SD from a newer model year and putting it in another older model?
Also can you copy the SD data to another SD and use in a different Nissan? Is the SD somehow locked to the car it came with?
Thanks |

A bit late reply, but no, you can't copy the SD card to your computer, it doesn't work. Nor can you copy the data from 1 card to another.
However, the card is not locked to the car, so you can buy a newer card eg off ebay to use in your system. However, the SD cards come as Connect or Connect2 and are not interchangeable. so make sure you get the right one. |

I think that you CAN copy the card to your computer for backup purposes, BUT you can only restore it to the original card as the software is locked to that specific card. |

Ah ok pity. I might buy a newer version off eBay then, least have the newer maps. How are they selling on eBay then official cards? Would think the cards stick to vehicles if you can't copy the cards? |
