Several months ago, because my TT was really slow to update the speed cam database and other POI's, I was advised by knowledgeable members here to operate my TT from the SD Card as the hard drive may have been on its way out. It has been operating quite happily ever since . . . . until yesterday!
Now, for example, when approaching a motorway junction at 2 miles, it will give the warning of "In two miles . . ." then the continuation happens a mile later: "take the junction . . . ." then half a mile later "48". Just off my usual M/way junction there is a mobile camera site and two hundred yards later a Gatso camera. Last night, it warned me of these a quarter of a mile after I had passed them.
What's happening? |

It "could" be that the SD Card is failing?
You could try copying it to another one? _________________ TomTom Go 540 - V9.058, Map GB & Ireland 860.3101

I will do as you suggest but the SD card was purchased brand new (three months ago) to sort the original problem out. |

If you have it set, turn off all POI's showing on the map. This has been shown to show the system down if a lot are set to show though I haven't heard it being that bad.
