Thinking of getting a stand alone unit. However, it's been many years (been using my iphone, but contract will expire, and the phone won't be compatible with the tomtom cradle anymore)
What I am looking for is the following features.
1) UK & Ireland only, have no intention of driving abroad.
2) Compatability with the pocketGPSWorld speed Camera database.
3) Traffic (Can be via smartphone or other means)
3) Bluetooth functionality
4) capability to store music via SD card or internal memory. Ideally approx. 32GB on a SDHC card in an adaptor.
Can anyone point me out the system that can do this please.
Thanks Frank |

It is only the basic tomtoms that now allow POIs to be loaded.
A great shame. I wonder how many sales they have lost due to this, compared to how much money they have made forcing peeps to buy their own camera database. |

The 820 does not have an mp3 music player.
The last models that did have one were the GOx20 and x30 ranges and the GO940
ALL TomToms upto and including the GO1000/2000 and the VIA ranges can accept the PGPSW speed camera database (and any other user-POIs)
Currently, the very latest Android-based ones cannot handle user POIs at all.
The last models to accept FULL itinerary planning (with file import and export) were the GOx40 and x50 ranges and the XL/XXL. models _________________ "Settling in nicely" ;-) |
