I am waiting for delivery of the device. Im now thinking have l made an error due to the following. No customized POI. Or where am l incase of breakdown. Particularly when my wife uses it. I had a 920 a fantastic device but it died suddenly. I went for the 6000 due to the large screen and needed one quickly. I now wonder if l have made a cock up. I really do need the custom POI. I also used the via function and avoid functions so l could take the general type of route l wanted. This allowed me to have driving days out avoiding large towns and using back routs. ANY HELP ADVICE AND KNOWLEGE OF IF CUSTOM POI are going to be added soon. Adate would be nice from tomtom. Regards kelvin paul. |

You do usually have to pay the return postage though. |

If the internal memory's gone you could try copying a back up of the device to an SD card. If you turn the device on with the card inserted it will boot from that instead of the internal memory. Several people on this forum run their "dead" TomToms this way. _________________ Anita

What should you get back?
The original cost of the outbound postage to you should always be refunded by the seller.
The seller's terms and conditions or returns policy should state who pays the cost of returning the item.
If they don't state this, then the seller has to cover the cost.
In this case, you're entitled to a refund of the total amount you paid, including costs to ship the item to you, and the fee to return the item. No admin or restocking fees should be charged. _________________ Formerly known as Lost_Property

Thanks for the info folks that is useful for me.the memory card is missing so l will see if l can find it. My basic enquiry was is there a date that particularly custom POI capability is going to be added to this device. I dont want to return it if in the short term these isdues are put right because subject to using it the operation of it seems good. Regards kelv |
