Hi
I have just upgraded to the Garmin 2598 to replace my old 1690 ... i have also brought the speedcam option via Smartphone link and im wondering how i get them to display on the 2598? i can see the speed cam list on the phone but no option to display them on the Satnav ... does it send them automatically ? reason is my satnav database date never changes.
Sorry to sound dumb but i just wanna make sure im doing it right .
Thanks

I can't help either as I use the cameras from here which I would suggest most people do? _________________ DashCam:

Ok thanks , I also use the speed cam data base from this site but as I brought the life time speed cams via the smartphone app I was just curious how they got transferred to the sat nav.
Thanks

Are you 100% sure you have the Smartlink fully connected?
I had a recent issue when I upgraded my mobile from a Wildfire S to full blown HTC One where I thought I had a good connection but in fact looking deeper in it hadn't fully connected.
Bluetooth on both devices showed a good connection but the traffic info page showed 'receiver disconnected' even though the top connection box was still ticked. After a Google I found that you otfen have to fully restart/recycle the Garmin for it to regain a full connection and remember the settings for next time.
I used Garmin Express to install an update which forced a restart and SmartLink traffic now fully working again. _________________ DashCam:
