TomTom and Google Maps

I used to find locations on Google Maps and send them to my Go, but now I just get a choice of Garmin, Insignia, or Navigon. does anyone know where send to TomTom has gone please?

Google and TomTom had a falling out some time ago and one result is the link to TomTom has now been removed, as you've noticed.

Thank you. Shame we have to suffer for them, I've tried TomTom routes and Tyre but can't really come to grips with them. I had found a location on Google Maps using the satellite view but can't find it on a map.

I didn't know it either - just flipped a coin and tried the Help button and there it was. At the end of the day, it's really thanks to Calomax - but he's probably ugly, fat, toothless and a girl. Twisted Evil

I've been creating Google map locations for some years now and using a GMAPtoGPX web link to rip the co-ordinates from the Google Map into a KML file. The KML file can open automatically in POI Edit program (on PC anyway) and then all the map locations from the map can be converted into a POI file that you copy onto your TomTom or Garmin etc (choose output format in POI Edit).
Works really well for me and I'm sharing customer site locations with others in our company so we can all benefit from having our site locations as POI's on nav units.

For the GMAPtoGPX conversion bit.
Sound difficult but it works really well and pretty quick after a bit of practice. Very Happy

In GoogleMAps I use the LatLng marker tool. Next to DennisN's Help button it says "MapsLabs", click on this, select LatLng and save. By right clicking on the map you can then drop a marker with the Lat & Long, the values of which can be copied and pasted.

For me, the beauty of this is that you can have many markers on the map at any one time allowing you to plan a route and order the POIs to suit your journey.
