|
|
Hello all,
I have a Garmin Nuvi 1490 and manage the maps / data / routes etc via either Map Source or Base Camp, but ...
I have been told of a route planner that will allow me to plan a route, amend it by dragging the route and then being able to save it to my SatNav.
Does anyone have any idea of the name of the 'manner from heaven'?
Thanks. |

AFAIK whatever app or program you create a route with you will still have to use Mapsource or Basecamp to transfer it to your Garmin |

Thanks for your reply.
Have no problem transferring routes via basecamp etc, my problem is creating routes by dragging the planned route to suit my needs. |

You can drag routes in Basecamp ...
I do it all the time to load routes to my 1490 or Etrex 20
Try this. Select the route, then select the insert tool and hover it between the start and end points until you see a rather thick black line appear between the start and finish point. Left click the mouse and release. You'll now be able to drag the line to where you want and then left click. The route will now be recalculated using where you clicked as a via point. Add more points as required. Right click when you've finished to exit. |
