|
|
I have driven in London many times (leisure mainly), but was massively frustrated this weekend by crap routing, and wanted to know if London members had filed "map errors" or not.
I was driving around Picadilly +/- 5 blocks in all directions, and was on more than one occasion in the same trip, directed up a one way street, or to turn right where that was not permitted.
Absolute rubbish!
I didn't have time to mark the errors, but shirley there must be enough people on here that live/travel in that area, to upload those map errors?
p.s. My Jag sat nav was equally Edited by DennisN - funny spelling may beat the auto censor, but not me. Don't do it please. _________________ Tom Tom 1005 v2 World, Garmin Dakota 20, IPhone 4S |

The very latest as far as I know, so it was quite a surprise to find so many errors in a relatively small space. _________________ Tom Tom 1005 v2 World, Garmin Dakota 20, IPhone 4S |

And I rather fancy that everybody else was in the same predicament - Piccadilly doesn't encourage stopping to fiddle about with satnav map change submissions. _________________ Dennis

No. It wasn't a sense of humour failure. It was good moderation to keep this a family site with no gratuitous swearing. If you prefer sites that allow such behaviour, feel free, but please don't do it here. |

I am a London taxi driver and I frequently make map corrections and submit them. However, every time I get a new map I find the errors have not been corrected.
I suspect therefore that is the slowness that Tom Tom takes to include them. |

And possibly the fact that as they don't get included, this hacks people off so much that they just don't bother any more. |

I disagree. Is that allowed?
If you thought that was gratuitous swearing you perhaps need to get out a bit more. It's like being in a school classroom, the moderator attitudes on here are massively condescending.
It was a light hearted tongue in cheek remark from someone who doesn't use this place as a chat room, but seeks to share and receive information that makes life a bit easier to work with.
P.s. Thanks for the information from the young-goat, I'd imagined that map-error reports "stuck" with a bit more frequency. _________________ Tom Tom 1005 v2 World, Garmin Dakota 20, IPhone 4S |
