Hi
I cant remember how previously I moved individual POIs from favourites to put them in to a custom poi file. At some point I created a file which read "bees-PGPSW.csv on my original nuvi 250. Now i have some additional POIs in favourites and cant find how to convert them to CSV. A tried through POIEDIT. I got them to save as a file but when i try to "batch convert" them it fails to find the file. I dont know why because POIedit saves file as a GPX.
I have tried looking through this site because i am sure someone must have written the idiots guide but i am sorry I just cannot find it
Could some on show me the link please

easiest way is to look at the pgpsw csv files to see the layout, but usually it is in the format
long, lat, description
you can load the gpx file into notepad (better notepad+) and see how this is done and strip away the xml code
when you have information you need then just add it into your csv file |

thank you for that, But am still no wiser...When i load gpx file to note pad it is all listed in HEX, or am I loading it wrongly. I think my problem really is how to convert from GPX to CSV! If i try to open GPX fileon satnav or thats saved on PC it pc asks if i want to search for a program that can read GPX |

Why convert them to CSV files? - POILoader is perfectly capable of reading GPX files...in fact, that's the preferred method if you want access to all the detail that can be associated with a Custom POI.
Sadly, POIEdit isn't aware of the Garmin GPX extensions and so discards address and phone number information, thus negating some of the advantage.
