Have bought a 2ndhand 2011 Ford Grand C-Max Titanium with the "Sony Sat Nav" option. Would have thought the maps could do with an update, and wondered if this is a do it yourself option. All maps come on an SD card, and I have read elsewhere that there is mention of "cryptnav" files on the card. Can anyone tell me the official model number of the sav nav or the supplier of the SD card files. Seems very little info on this around the web, and Ford customer services not replying to my emails. Thanks in advance. _________________ TOMTOM XL Live Western Europe |

Thx for your reply. What a shame.
I've got my eye on a 2012 Grand C-Max which comes with the Sony Sat Nav. As you've found out, trying to get some info on this is like drawing blood from a stone.
I know it says "Sony Sat Nav", but are the real maps behind produced by TomTom? I've used TomTom for years and the only pictures I can see from the web, of the Sony SatNav, are really quite ugly.
Even if it's a TomTom, I know I can't feed the PGPSW SpeedCams in, so, it's really just gonna be used for the rear view camera |
