Hi all, Is there anyway to remove the nag screen " do you want to book into this destination " it even comes up when I reach home. It's bad when it comes on while driving in the dark as it's a full white screen.

Blimey! I thought I knew the Go1005 inside out, but I've NEVER heard of that one.
Is that the exact wording of the message you get?
I'll have a search and see if I can find it (or any mention of it), but I'm not sure where to start.
It sounds similar to the "Car Parks are available near your destination" thing, which I switched off as soon as I worked out how to!
Silly thoughts:
Are you always navigating to hotel POIs?
Are you navigating to destinations from TripAdvisor or Expedia in the Live Services?
Sensible thought:
Have you tried doing a re-boot? (by holding down the power button for 20 seconds or so, until you hear the drums sound effect. _________________ "Settling in nicely" ;-) |

Hi Andy,
Not sure of the exact wording but it is almost correct. I will report back, but as I say it pops up while i reach my destination I press "No" to get rid of the white screen as quickly as i can. I do have Twitter setup maybe it's that? As a courier it could be anywhere / anyplace. If I plan Home from the main screen it then comes up when i reach home.
An update. It was in the Twitter settings " Ask me if I want to check in when I arrive at my destination". This was set as std so I have unticked it.
Thanks again. |

Bingo!
Sorry I didn't hit on Twitter, (I never use it) but I was close with TripAdvisor or Expedia, same page!
Ah! I've just twigged... I was thinking of "booking in" as in hotels, but it's some daft Twitter "I'm here now" thing, I guess? _________________ "Settling in nicely" ;-) |

Hi again Andy, Why it had to be a full white screen and not just a small panel, maybe they never tried it in the dark while driving. 5" of screen is almost like a torch in your face. A software update to change it? |
