Reflective windscreens?

I have just inherited from a colleague a 2002 Audi A6 (Belgian spec) and the first thing I did was to get a car kit installed for my phone. As I am interested in getting a TT for Palm, I asked the installer if the windscreen was reflective. He said no and he used a stick on aerial on the top of the windscreen for the phone. It works fine.

I am now in a dilemma. Is this

correct? Or is this just the case in the USA?

I am sure you will find that you Audi does not have a heat reflecting screen,i know mine does not and uk spec Audis do not,so i guess you will be ok

My 2210 and BT GPS work fine in my wife's Audi with the receiver under the windcreen - 2004 A3 Sport.
