Does anyone use the 'North up' view (i.e. 'rotate map' is turned off) in either the iOS or Android app?

There must be an ulterior motive behind the question. Care to share MaFt? |

I suspect that MaFt wishes to remove the Advanced setting of "Rotate map" in future versions of CamerAlert to simplify the settings. Especially if everybody uses rotate map and nobody wants "North up".

Nowt to do with me - Lutz asked me to ask
But yeah I think the idea was to remove the 'view more ahead' from the North Up view. Nothing finalised yet anyway.

Well, not remove it altogether yet, but not spend much energy on it. With the new Maps API version now in testing we want to make the rotation view "view more ahead" less jumpy and more useful. For now we'll still keep the north up view somewhat, but yes, in future we may drop it unless there is a public outcry (which doesn't seem to be the case). Thanks for your feedback! _________________ Lutz
