I suspect my BT GPS receiver died on me. Bluetooth only blinks once and then the green leds comes and stays on permanently. Somewhere I heard that discharging and then charging it might reset it somehow. Anyways, don't have the patience for that so I opened the thing up and disconnected the power from the board. Battery is connected with one of those mini plugs they also use for PC fans on motherboards. This should have drained the circuits I suppose ? I'm no techie but having those leds blink all the time is bound to stress the whole setup unnecessary, apart from the energy consumption issues.

Anyway, thanks for any input.

Piet

there are some condensators/capacitators that still hold power after you disconnected the battery. So be patient, at least for a day or so.

As for the LEDs blinking - they support millions of blinking cycles, and will still blink when you and I are long history.

There is another aspect to the blinking though. From a usability point of view a blinking something means something is not right and needs attention. If the manufactureres could get over their childish joy about so many blinking lights they would actually use solid states to show you that all is ok and the lock is established. But alas, no. Maybe next time.
