I've recently bought a MemoryMap S7000, (which ironically upon opening the box is a Snooper S7000) mainly to use the OS map facility for greenlaning and walking.
However, I would also like to download the Cameralert database which would save me having to take the Garmin as well as the Memory map. I tried to download the files to the unit in the same way as I do with the Garmin but I get an error message telling me that the ,csv files are invalid and no data is sent to the unit.
Probably bad form to answer your own question, but I managed to find an old answer which might be appropriate which suggests the PGPS database isn't suitable for the memorymap 7000.
Oh dear, looks like I'll have to pay for their proprietary product.

Hi,
Are you referring to using the database with the M-M software or the Snooper road navigation software? This section is really only concerned with the M-M software (i.e. OS, etc. mapping). For the Snooper software you may need to ask in another section (possibly the Database Support or POI sections).
The M-M software uses a different .CSV format to the PGPSW .CSV database but it's possible to convert from one to the other. I did it once (can't remember if I used a software utility or just "manually") but it's hardly usable with the software. There is no "auto-hide" of icons as you zoom out, so you can end up with a map almost totally obliterated by icons (and the software running very slowly).
