I've been using POI for ages and have always clicked 'install new custom POIs', which has over-written the old with the new. I've noticed the last 2 times I've done this that the previous versions have also been retained. I haven't changed the way I do things and wondered if anyone else had experienced this? I'm using POI Loader 2.7.1.0. and POIs are stored directly on a Garmin 1310, not micro SD card (and there's no card in the unit).

I noticed that when you go through the POILoader stuff it asks you to give a name to the POIs it will install - the default is the folder name that the files are in. If you make it a habit to call it, say, 'speedcams' every week then it will overwrite the existing file called 'speedcams' when it creates the new one.

Thanks MaFt. I guess something must have changed with the last POI loader version I downloaded as I notice the files on my Garmin are now in a named folder and prviously it just showed the POI file. I've always created a new PC folder each week named as the database date, then deleted the 'old' one (from the PC) once I've successfully loaded the latest. No real need I know, just being over cautious as once had a dodgy download and this meant I always had a workable (if slightly out of date) version. I'll now revert to what you recommend. Thanks again.
