Hi,
Does anybody know for sure one way or the other if this specific device, just bought from Halfords can use pgpsw speedcams?
I looked at the compatibility list, but it only states a couple of One XL models there.
Any info/advice much appreciated.

Yes it will work fine just download the database, unzip it and copy the files to the devices Europe or Western_Europe Map folder, it will be named one or the other - Mike |

I see what you mean, it could do with a bit of a tweak. I think it's a neverending task because of the way TT keep re-using the same names in slightly different ways! _________________ "Settling in nicely" ;-) |

Hi Andy_P,
That explains why I'm having problems.Using the video instructions, I put all the files into the 'Western Europe' folder, went to 'Manage Pois, and got to the distance setting part, then the device freezes at the 'OK' button |

Actually, no it doesn't explain why you're having problems.... It should all work fine.
My suggested "tweak" was just to add those specific models to the list...
I'm having a think as to what your problem might be... hopefully one of the other regulars' brains is not ab foggy ad mine id today. _________________ "Settling in nicely" ;-) |

Have you added ogg audio files, if so when the device asks if this is the sound you want to hear (even though it doesn't play anything) simply answer YES, if you press NO the device will freeze up, this is a long standing issue but to be honest adding ogg audio files to get spoken alerts isn't an advertised feature of the device it's simply something we know works - Mike |

Hi Mike,
Yes, with ogg files.Started again (deleted all pocket files, then added back) doing the same thing, this time it asked whether, Full Spoken, Brief Spoken, or Sound Effect is wanted, the last one is what now makes it work
I don't remember if I selected to hear the sound, it could have been this that messed me up, doh!
Thanks all |
