How many map corrections can be made on a Tom Tom Go 530.
I have made hundreds (possibly thousands ) of corrections (mostly in London) but I am now starting to lose the earliest ones. |

I don't know what the limit is (member Falkirk81 does!) but I'm pretty sure you normally get an on-screen message when you reach the limit allowed.
See these two old topics

That's some going on a recent map. Or have you not got the latest map and simply do corrections ad infinitum on an old map? _________________ Dennis

I believe it is 750 for the old Nav2 devices, not seen it yet on the Nav3 devices, possibly because the maps in my area are slowly getting corrected!
I`ll keep my eyes peeled for it, but you should have got a big red screen telling you that the limit is reached!

I didn't get any red warning !
My map was about 18 months old so I have downloaded the latest one and updated my Traffic Subscription and PGPS world cameras.
Now, I guess I'm going to have to reload most of the map corrections I made as I don't suppose for a moment that everything I changed has been included in this latest map. |

If you didn't get the red warning screen then how do you know you have reached the limit and the earliest corrections are being overwritten? _________________ Tomtom GO 1005 LIVE

Because changes that I made when I got the device have reverted to the original. |

Were some the oldest corrections made on the old map? as far as I know, the new map would wipe out all pre-existing corrections so you'd have to start afresh correcting the new map |

All of the corrections were on the old map.
A funny thing is some of them seem to have been 'brought forward' to the new map which baffles me as I know a map update should wipe them all.
I am quite certain about that because one in particular is specific to my own needs, I had blocked the exit from the A2 East Rochester Way (Eastbound) to Danson Road.
I did not change this on the new map.
Perhaps someone else could check this ?
Here's a screenshot of how it looks on my map

On the contrary, if your (or anyone else's) map corrections are checked and verified as accurate, the idea is that they WILL be incorporated in the "next" map - that's the excellent theory behind MapShare. MapShare is exactly that - "Share" - not your own personal corrections (providing you offer them up to TT for checking and circulation). _________________ Dennis

I don't share anything that won't be applicable to ordinary motorists.
I am a London Taxi driver, so some of the alterations I make (e.g 'opening' Oxford Street I don't share.
Blocking the A2 exit slip was also one I did not share. |

I'd love to, but can you give a fuller description of where it actually is?
(Lat/Long would be quickest).
It seems the 'East Rochester Way' is not in Rochester, and after that you just end up scrolling along great lengths of the A2 looking for that name. _________________ "Settling in nicely" ;-) |

51.44951, 0.12026.
Edit, curious to know why you have it blocked?. Apart from that ominous grey box at the end of the safety railings, it looks like a perfectly good slip road. Though, I guess that the traffic can build up at times. _________________ Garmin Nuvi 2599
