Can I suggest another two POI categories to merge? Netto was recently bought by Asda.
According to Wikipedia (and other sources): "In May 2010, Netto UK was bought by Asda for £778m to increase its smaller store portfolio. The rebranding of 147 former UK Netto stores under the Asda name was complete by the end of the summer of 2011. Competition laws required Asda to sell the remaining 47 stores to other companies such as Morrisons, new convenience store UGO, and other retailers"
Therefore about 75% of Netto stores became Asda, while the other 25% were sold off. PGPSW currently has 112 Nettos in the database, which are clearly all currently incorrect, as Netto no longer exists. _________________ Garmin DriveSmart 50 LMT-D |

I did have an email from a User who was preparing to work through the list. I haven't heard any more since then. _________________ Richard

The one in Tong Street in Bradford has already been corrected to 'UGO' - so I can't help much...

I changed the one in South Harrow a while back.
Shame, used to bulk buy lots of stuff from them for the tea club etc, including excellent offers on the wines and single malts (OK it was Jura most of the time). Not to mention frozen food, paper towels/toilet rolls etc.
I won't go on _________________ Triumph Tbird 1700. And now a Bonnie T100. |

I can't see any objection to the OP, some will still be wrong, but not any more wrong than they are now, and most will be correct. I've submitted changes for some ones I knew, so they're already corrected. _________________ Jock

As there seems to be little appetite for merging these two categories en masse, I'll volunteer to work through as many as I can individually. My original thought was that it would be easier for all concerned if the whole lot were changed at once.
Now that I've finished a lot of work on Alliance & Leicester sites, I should be able to fit it in. (OT: There are still a handful of A&L ATMs left on the database, but I can't work out what these have changed to). _________________ Garmin DriveSmart 50 LMT-D |

Thanks for this, Richard. I've identified and submitted a few that have definitely changed to Morrisons, but am leaving the Asda ones to be chenged automatically (unless there is a name change also required).
It must be a never-ending job keeping on top of POI submissions, so thanks for all the work that you do. _________________ Garmin DriveSmart 50 LMT-D |

I don't wish to put him down, but isn't that like taking candy off a baby? _________________ Dennis

I am afraid that when I tried to merge the Nettos into Adsa today I made a big mistake and managed to transfer Tescos to Asda instead. I do have a backup of the pre-merge data but that is at home and I will not get back until Saturday.
Sorry for the inconvenience caused.
