I wanted to go the M1 junction with the A650, junction 41, but although both the M1 and the A650 appeared in drop-down lists I got a "no matches found" message. It doesn't seem as if I can enter a junction number to go to either.

Last week's email to Garmin is unanswered as yet.

Is there a way of entering a junction number and/or getting it to recognise a Motorway junction?

Maps 2012.30 are installed.

Yes! Smile

Garmin are noty alone in this limitation... for some daft reason TomToms don't understand junction numbers or descriptions either.

However, help is at hand with the PocketGPSWorld POIs! (Download FREE POIs)

Just download the "Motorway Entrances" and "Motorway exits" POI files and add them to your Garmin as custom POIs.

You'll then find a location marked for every entry and exit from the UK's motorways and major roads.

There's a subtle reason why you need both sets, which I won't go into now (unless you want me to).
Suffice to say, you just use the appropriate one.... so if you want to leave the M1 at Junction 6 going north, you select "M1 J6N" from the 'Motorway exits' as a waypoint, or if you want to get onto it at Junction 10 heading south you use "M1 J10S" from the 'Motorway Entrances' group.

Just the job; thank you Andy.

Interesting you say TomTom don't do junction numbers as I seem to remember my ancient TomTom Navigator 5 could find a motorway junction.
