Well spotted Ian.
the description says Quote: | The ProSHIELD Bike fits tightly around the Active 10 and still allows the use of the bike back and bracket for fixing it onto any bike |
... for use with the bike back . Does that mean they've cut an oblong hole in the back? |

I imagine so as it says somewhere that it is not waterproof on immersion.

Hi Bosun, I guess you've got your bike proshield now - what do you think of it?
Easy to fit? Easy access to buttons? Display readable?
I've been out for a ride today and had to put the Satmap in my pocket during heavy rain. It kind of defeats to object of having one! So, I'm looking at getting one though I see they're now £32!

Haven't actually used it on the bike yet but I have a standard Pro Shield that I use for walking etc.
As mentioned elsewhere on the forum, they are a bit fiddly to fit on the Active 10 but when you have it all safely done they provide excellent protection, never had any difficulty with visibility etc.
The only two "problems" I have come across is that it is very easy to pull the rubber USB cover off when taking the unit out of the cover if you are not careful, and the joystick can be a little fiddly to use, apart from that all OK.
Oh and they are a bit pricey at £40 so strike whilst they are a bit cheaper.
