When turning my Active10 Plus on, (until it locks on to satellites), it always starts off positioning itself either somewhere in the Irish Sea, or over Mersyside, and has done ever since I bought it early this year.
This is rather odd, as I live in Sheffield, and have only used my Satmap around the South Yorkshire area.
Outside this is of little importance, as it usually locks on to an accurate GPS position within a minute or two. But in the house, (where it often isn't able to locate a GPS position at all), when I may want to check up on a walk I did recently, or to go over a planned walk, it is a real pain, trying to find out which way to scroll the map, particularly if it starts in the large blue area of the Irish Sea.
I'm sure there must be an easy way to bring the map to my rough home location on start up, and I've just overlooked this.
If there isn't, then this is quite an irritation in the Statmap programming.
(It would be nice if the Active10 booted up the same as my TomTom Go does, which always starts off at the same map position as when it was turned off).

Well, not sure why yours does this, I have had two satmaps and has aways shown my last position when switched on until GPS lock. So jts not normal for yours to do this, I will see what i find
I'm sure I remember this as a bug with one of the last softwear changes. Check which version of softwear you are running it should be 1.5 platform 21 you will find this under about in the settings menu.

As I was posting in this forum last night, I was actually letting SatSYNC update my Active10, (which I hadn't done since buying it).
The software version is now 1.5.7683.0, platform version 21-115,
and the start up problem I described appears to have righted itself. It now starts up at my home location, which it was last locked on to.
