|
|
I have TomTom V1.9 on my Iphone 4. I have DiskAid and thought I would update the speed cameras. On opening the application, I have only two folders in the app - an art one which has a car folder in it and a United Kingdom and Northern Island one with only 5 files in it, including a mapsettings file. I used to have, with an older version, lots of folders, maps etc and I put all my speed cameras and additional POI's in a UK folder. That is no longer there but on my unit, all the additional POI's and speed cameras I had before are still there!
Where is my DiskAid file structure gone? I have the paid for version.

Does the TomTom app still work?
Are you looking in the correct app folder when using DiskAid?

Hi Mike,
Yes, all fuctions as it should. I just have no detailed file structure as I had before. All the POI's are listed on the unit, as are the speed cameras. I just cannot file them on DiskAid to replace them.

You have the wrong folder open.
When you first open the TomTom folder using DiskAid it should present the following:
Documents
Library
tmp
UK-Ireland.app
You need to open the UK-Ireland.app folder, when this is open (it takes a while) you now open the United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ireland folder, this is where your ov2 and png icon files will be located - Mike |

Hi Mike,
I will check again but I have updated these before and the file structure did not appear the same. Come back later.

Well have checked and do not have those folders. I have United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland and art only. In UK & RI, I have five files:- mapsettings.cfg, Map User Patch.dat, Release txt and Version txt, and Licence X2 Icons txt. That's it!
In the root, I have report.cam, Tom Tom settings.dat and userpatch.dat
In art I have a folder called card with is empty.
Really confused here as have the program on the unit with all the speed cameras and POI's listed. i have a Iphone 4 with IOS 5.0 and is not jailbroken.
Should I delete it and reinstall it?

Have you got the advanced options enabled in DiskAid?
In DiskAid click DiskAid from the top tool bar followed by Preferences.
In the Viewing tab make sure the following are checked:
Show "USB Key"
Show "Music and Videos"
Show "Photos"
Show "Data"
Show "Apps"
Show "File system"
Show "Short cuts"
In the Advanced Tab make sure the following are enabled:
Display all apps even if they don't have file sharing enabled
Show root path for apps
Show hidden files and folders
Click "Save" then exit DiskAid, the new settings will only take effect when you re-start the program - Mike |
