|
|
Drivers in North Lincolnshire will need to be extra vigilant with speed cameras set to come into operation across a variety of random checkpoints in the region.
Safer Roads Humber, the organisation in charge of the initiative, has warned motorists that they could be deployed in various routes throughout the region over both this weekend and the next. Today was the first official day of the new scheme.
This follows a similar scheme in Lancashire, where accident black spots on straight roads in the county could be covered by new speed cameras, according to highways bosses.
This particular proposal is part of a comprehensive review of the way in which both Lancashire County Council and Lancashire Police utilise speed cameras and the information obtained from them in the region. _________________ Robert Brady |

Out of interest, are they replacing just the "innards" or putting up whole new camera boxes? _________________ "Settling in nicely" ;-) |

I found a picture from last year when I went out to look at a Gatso converted to digital, it looks the same but needs an external flash slightly further down the road:
