Apologies if this has been answered before...
Does the TomTom iPhone app (v1.7) support custom POI, and therefore the PGPSW database?
Thanks |

Cheers Mike - my Mrs has an iPhone, but can't do without the TomTom GPS, which is now getting on a bit. TomTom has been ranked in the Top 10 iPhone apps by a local newspaper, so was wondering if we could loose the old TT GPS, but still get full TT funtionality for less than the cost a new one.
While I could manage the camera update, it would probably become a PITA very quickly - and if TT find out what you're doing, there's nothing to stop them blocking this mechanism in a future update, as it effectively competes with their own (inferior) speed camera offering. |

Indeed the work around to get the warnings working is rather "back-door" and could be closed out at some future point, the other option to get speed camera warnings on your wife's iPhone is to load up CamerAlert, updates to this app for the speed camera data are really easy. The app just runs in the back gound - Mike |

this is the exact reason why we have not added it as an official install guide. it's an unpublished 'feature' of tt for iphone so they could well block it if they wanted to.
