|

Having just changed cars now on a Ford Fusion 2 - am having a nightmare finding satellites let alone getting a lock, same can besaid of my mobile HTC Desire HD ..................... and having a google have stumbled upon re-radiating antenna's due to heated screens.
My questions will this cure/fix my current problems, for both devices, has anyone any recomendations or cheap fixes, as i have nailed it down that it is the car causing the problem as both devices are fine outside it. |

I use one in mine and it works fine for all my GPS devices. I installed it years ago when GPS receivers were far less sensitive.
I don't need one in the Ford Focus which has a heated screen. _________________ Drivelux |

A Re-Rad would fix the issue but they were deemed illegal to use in the UK due to some OFCOM regulations, this makes finding one for sale in the UK rather a challenge.
If you do locate/ obtain one I very much doubt you would get caught using it as they transmit so little power they would be virtually impossible to detect from outside a moving car - Mike |

I thought the problems were more due to athermic screen coatings rather then heated screns.
But isn't there usually a patch somewhere on the screen there the coatings or buried elements aren't applied? (so that automatic toll-paying or road-pricing devices can still be used) _________________ "Settling in nicely" ;-) |

I had a ford heated screen a few years back (which I really miss) but didn't have any problems with the Sat Nav. The bottom corners didn't have any wires in either but maybe a bit difficult to use |

I have focus with heated front screen, both phone or pda gps mounted in front pof vent outlet and no problems at all, i believe the clear zone is behind the rear view mirror if needed. _________________ Moto G5s Plus, Sygic 17.4.8 |
