|
|
Anyone else received this e-mail from TomTom?
"As you know, we’re on a mission to reduce traffic congestion for everyone. And we’re achieving it by making regular improvements to our services.
From 22 May 2011 our latest TomTom HD Traffic improvements will be available to you for free. To benefit from them your device needs to have the latest software.
The update will make TomTom HD Traffic even better than it was before. It will give you:
• More frequent traffic updates
• Traffic jam reports for even more roads
• More accurate arrival times
To get the update, all you need to do is connect your device to TomTom HOME from 22 May." |

As you were everyone, apparently it's the improvements that are free - I must try not to get over excited whenever I receive an e-mail from TomTom... |

What device are you running Spook51?
I've not had the email, but it maybe it is not for the 550 or because I'm using a 'dummy' email address? _________________ Mike R [aka Wyvern46]

I've got a 550 Live (using my correct email address) and I haven't received this e-mail from TT about the HD Traffic improvements. |

Thanks.....can still hope...
Edit: just checked TT's Forum. A 550 owner got the email. Over there they seem to think HD is going to become free [Ha], or that it is the HD traffic webpage which is going to get the upgrade.
I read spook51's email as a device software upgrade of some sort. _________________ Mike R [aka Wyvern46]

I had an app update on my GO 1000 this morning 10.115.662791.74
While watching traffic on the M40 J9, it did seem to update quickly with changes to the delay in some cases after 2 or 3 minutes.
Also I was offered to change the route twice, but not sure about any improvement as I don't usually have traffic delays on my commute. _________________ GO 620, Tomtom Android EU,

940 - a PITA sometimes when it drops Traffic and takes an age to re-connect. Maybe this will sort it but somehow I doubt it... |

The day isn't over yet (although they are an hour ahead on CEST) and when have TomTom ever delivered on deadlines anyway! |
