voice command function disabled

Hi all, any ideas why my voice command is now disabled? The icon is in the preferences, but is greyed out?

Using a tom tom go540 live
App 9.058.568435.1, OS 541764 ( 1030, 25/8/2010 )
GPS v1.20, Boot 5.5120

Have you got a Computer Voice selected for the navigation instructions?

If the above doesn't fix it try connecting it to the PC and use Windows Explorer to open the drive letter associated with your device, open the ASR folder and locate the file "support_asr.dat" right click this and choose Open With/ NotePad, make sure there is a single number "1" in the text file, if its a "0" change it to a "1" (without the "") save the file before using the disconnect USB device icon from the tool bar on your desktop - Mike

Hi Mike , had to create the file called "support_asr.dat" but it worked fine after that ! Many thanks
