|
|
I have just installed the service pack 2 software update to my F10 and I've been trying to find a way to update the maps. As far as I can tell there isn't one! I was hoping someone could tell me im wrong, or perhaps just confirm so that I can stop trying!
Many Thanks |

£40 for a two year old map, thats taking the you know what.
One of the prime reasons for sticking to the TomTom or Garmin brands is you get map updates for pretty much all devices ever supplied, some other suppliers have a rather pathetic upgrade policy which is what you are finding in the case of the Navman F10 - Mike |

Map updates are really a damned if you do, damned if you don't when it comes to a true reflection of the road structure. I have seen examples where the map is at least two years behind the actual road layout and on a few occasions the map was six months ahead of the revised (proposed) road layout.
Considering how long it takes to compile map data along with driving routes etc I doubt any electronic map would be fully accurate until at least 9 months after the road layout is changed - Mike |
