I've had to dig out my Asus A696 PPC windows mobile 6 GPS as my car now doesn't have integrated sat Nav in.
So it has an older version of TomTom on but it maybe out of date.
I've seen Sygic Mobile Maps 10 for my A696, on offer for £13 for UK maps (all I'll need), seems a good deal.
So is it any good, MM 10 I mean?
Is it upto date, map wise?
Can you add PGW speed camera database?
Can you add your own POIs?
Any got this and a A696, does it run fine? As it's an older model
I have an iPhone 4 and now there is others for that, but I'm happy to use this on my A696 and leave in my car, also it seems iPhone sat navs don't have as much personalisation such as for POis and speed cameras etc

Sygic Mobile Maps 10 is a very capable nav package, at £13 is a steal to be honest, you can install Third Party POI files and have spoken alerts for the camera POI files if you want.
The newer Sygic Aura is a bit of a lame duck in comparison with no support for custom POI files although this might change with an update.
As for your iPhone, Sygic Mobile Maps works well on that and can accept speed camera POI files without Jailbreaking the iPhone as can the TomTom app, as an alternate consider the PGPSW CamerAlert app and have that running in the back ground with your chosen nav app running on the display - Mike |
