Hi Guys

I'm thinking of selling my Navman & Smart ST Prof V1.91 as my new car comes with Sat Nav built in.

Q. Can I sell the unit/software and will the new buyer be able to re-activate the software for installation on their PC/Ipaq?

Cheers
Kenny

Hi Kenny,

It shouldn't be a problem. One of my friends bought a used and registered Navman package from eBay. He managed to activate it OK, but the European update was sent to the original owner. Once he'd made Navman aware of this, they confirmed the details and sent him his due upgrade. Yuo could check with Navman though, at

support@navman-europe.com

It wouldn't do any harm to be absolutely sure.

in theory that is a nice idea, but after a week and 3 mails of tryin to contact navman, i have had no luck re activating my navman 3400 and smart st 191. what a waste of time and money Sad

Iv had no replies or nout and i was even asking if the was a fee to pay for reactivation. it wasnt as if i was on the scaff.
i undetrstand that companies have become paranoid about piracy, but u dont even see MS screwin ppl for 1 install per machine type systems.
even windows longhorn will allow 4 or 5 when released.

Big Thumbs Down for navman, u deserve to have crackers all over break your security if this is how your treat ppl with genuine registration keys
gripe over

Ghostryder,

In this particular case, it was also a nice idea in practice. When I used version 1 I activated it with no problem on the equivalent of four machines, these being 3850, then same machine after hard reset, then 3970 then 3970 after hard reset. I've done the same with V2, albeit the 3850 has now gone and a 5555 is now in the fold. Can I suggest that you 'phone Navman Tech Support on 01293 780500 and I'm confident that they will be able to sort out your activation problems.
