Hello,
I'm interested to know if your speed camera alert is accurate for Germany.
I have the Cyclops Garmin Alert and it's never updated and 80% of the radar I saw are not even announced as radar area so I'm interested to have a new one which is updated more often.
Thanks for your answer.
Mathieu

The breakdown of the PGPSW camera database is found here - http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/activecams.php
I don't know how many cameras are in Germany, so can't give any idea of the coverage. _________________ Richard

It looks a bit sparse, but like Oldboy I have no idea if that's good or not.
But the 'carrot' is that if you were prepared to help improve it, and reported just one new camera, you could get free lifetime subscription. |

Try checking your intended route against the Michelin website for SpeedTraps you are likely to encounter. I find Michelin fairly up-to-date in Europe but they do not offer speed camera downloads. If you then cross check against the PgpsW European database and enter into yourSatNav, as a POI, any camera that is different, make a note when you pass whether to update the PgpsW database or not. It is labour intensive, but hey, it's worth a lifetime membership! _________________ Garmin Nuvi 2599

Hello,
Thanks for your answers.
On my daily commute of 100km (one way) there are at least 6 to 8 area of mobile radar that are not indicated in the Garmin Cyclops one that I have. And it's area where you have at least two times a week mobile speed camera on spot.
I'm interested to help to improve the system, hopefully it will remind me that a camera spot is coming which sometimes I forget and get caught...
So when you submit a camera how long it takes to have it indicated on your GPS?

a mobile camera site will show up in the database as a pMobile (these are unconfirmed) in the next update (every wednesday).
a fixed camera may take longer - depends on if there have been other submissions in the area to help validate or if we can compare against other sites / photo's / streetview etc.
hope that helps?
