I used my Active10 in the vehicle mount the other day and noticed that centre cursor would not move for periods of upto 30 seconds, then jump to the correct location. It seems better when travelling fom north to south or south to north, and the breadcome trail is complete.
I suspect the read spead of the consolidated map card.
Has anyone any thoughts?
I have contacted Satmap - see my customer service thread |

I was wondering if you have you had a response from Satmap.
I was using mine in the car last night and noticed a variable update speed. At times the cursor move along quite normally and then it wouldn't move for several seconds and then jump to my current location. I don't think the delay was a long a 30 seconds but it was enough for me the question wether I had reached my turning or not.
The software was recently updated by Satmap and I now have a consolidated map card.
I don't remember a delay before the new software or map card. I didn't travel far enough to to comment as to whether direction of travel had an impact on the update speed. |

I am expecting my devce and card back from Satmap. They are fixing the USB cover and checking out the slow plotting at the same time.
I will report back when I have the unit back and have tested it.
Like you, I didn't have this problem before, but I can't pin it down to software version or the consolidated map card. |

Got the Active 10 back this morning.
The accompanying paperwork gives no clue as to what was done. I have identifed that the SD card has been replaced. The old card was a 4gb card with 0.5gb free space. The new card is an 8gb card with more than 50% free space. The software is revision 1.5.7683 (09.02.21). (About / top left /top right / to left) I don't know whether or not this is the last general release.
Whatever the reason, it now seems to be working as it used to. The plotting is just a second or two behind as it was before the map consolidation and software update.
I have tested it on local roads as well as a dual carriageway - the secret is to watch the corner of the map and not the blue circle.
The USB cover looks as if it has just been super-glued back in, but it is holding. For how long, time will tell. |

No it does not seem to be general. The web site under version history gives 7618 as being the latest which is also what my A10 claims to have. Also if I go online it says there is no updates available at present!
So it looks as if you have something us mere mortals don't have! Enjoy. _________________ LostMike
