I have tomtom3 with haicom 302E (CF-receiver). My Haicom works well with gpsinfo, but there i have always to change to com5. Can i not change this to default?

In tomtom3 the haicom seems to work, but i receive not one sat. Tomtom says my position is not reliable.
I think I had to change the setting in tomtom from "Haicom" and "cf generic " to "Haicom" and com 5, but i can not choose com 5, I just can choose com 3!

What can I do?

it would help if we knew what pda rom and gps driver your using also could you pls put your location in you profile as this could affect any answer

have you tried to to get a sat fix outside the car with tt3 as your car could have a heat reflective windscreen whitch can affect the reception of any data the gps is trying to receive

The "Haicom GPS" setting is only for SiRF based Haicom receivers. Your model number ends in E, so it's an Evermore chipset receiver.

Use NMEA 0183v2 4800 instead of Haicom GPS (make sure you reselect the port - which you can probably do as CF_CARD_GENERIC and not worry about the COM port number). TomTom Navigator will then most likely work reliably.
