Bluetooth audio not holding link to satnav instructions.

Not sure if this is the best place to post this. Please let me know if there is somewhere better.

I have hearing problems so need my satnav to transmit instructions to my car stereo. I used to use the FM transmitter on my TomTom but have now changed car to one with bluetooth, and the TomTom has effectively died.

I have tried the Aura navigation programme on my Android phone (Orange San Franciso). I am very happy with what I have seen apart from the fact that the bluetooth audio link keeps dropping out and not automatically restarting. Initially I thought it was the intermittent nature of the spoken commands so I streamed music as well. This seemed to improve things but has not solved the problem which appears inconsistent.

I have yet to try and find another bluetooth device to try streaming just audio and see what happens but if any of you can give any advice in the interim I would be grateful.
